Hey everybody! This past weekend was unexpectedly busy, what with shopping for Christmas gifts… and myself. A friend and I took a train to DTLA, where we had the specific goal in mind of shopping some clothes at the Toko-Toko Pop-Up Holiday Sample Sale in the Arts District. There were also other popular L.A. bloggers looking to sell their clothes too!
In lieu of this shopping trip, I decided to style the corduroy skirt I got, going more into the boho/festival vibes sort of look. Enjoy!
Okay, so yeah, obviously I didn’t take these pictures outside, but this skirt definitely calls for a sunny day. Luckily we’ve been having some warm weather lately, but we’re also taking into account that I don’t want to go outside because I’m lazy.
ANYWAY, everything was crazy discounted – the most expensive item I came across was a $45 coat. This corduroy skirt? Only $5.
This corduroy skirt has been particularly popular these days, along with a similar version that’s a little more straight and form-fitting as well (I’m sorry, clothes names are not my thing).
Because it was from another blogger, there was a tiny spill on it, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed with a simple wash (which you’re gonna do anyway).
Fortunately, there were still a few pieces we got away with, and the best part is that we didn’t spend more than $10 on any one item! WHAAAAT. I know, crazy right? But whatever we didn’t spend on clothes, we spent on food so there was that.
Seriously, this corduroy skirt is my new favorite clothing item, it’s super cute AND comfortable.
Annnnd apart from my “trying to be a model” face, I did a pretty simple makeup look to accompany this!
On my lips is the Cream Matte Lipstick from Makeup By Evon that I talked about in my November Favorites post, as well as the L’Oreal Infallible Super Slim Eyeliner.
Speaking of November Favorites, don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel where I’ll upload a lookbook featuring the rest of what I got on Saturday!
Did you get anything new this past weekend? What’s a favorite clothing item of yours? I’d love to know in the comments!
