You know last week when I had that post about makeup for hustlers? I talked about a few of my favorite products for when I’m constantly moving. But then I found this brand that is basically dedicated for creating a makeup line for on-the-go women.

The second installment in my Spotlight Series featuring Milk Makeup! They're all about being environmentally friendly AND cool. What more could you ask for?

BOOM. Life goal happened.

Just kidding.

Still, this recent find of mine has me drooling over their perfect website and minimalistic packaging. And who are they?

Milk Makeup.

If you browse around the site a little, it becomes apparent there are two things that are very important to this brand: being eco-conscious in all of their products, and this is designed for girls who are constantly “on-the-go”. It’s all about functionality while still lookin’ good, and I should mention, also being yourself.

In this regard it does remind me of Glossier – the mantra behind the business being all about enhancing beauty rather than changing it entirely. This is low-maintenance while still being bold. It throws two extremes together and makes them flow. Being a BOSS with a “cool kid” image. It’s artsy and contemporary, but don’t forget it’s environmentally friendly because it’s cool.

And Milk Makeup is all about cool. Showcasing Gen Milk, they highlight different people with different ideologies when it comes to what goes on their face be it skincare or makeup. Obviously some of it ties into the products they’re advertising, but it’s still fascinating to see other philosophies when it comes to the great big world of beauty.

Interestingly enough, their products are not made out of milk, which was my first impression. Instead, they use other natural ingredients like “hydrating oils, fruit and vegetable butters, and thoughtful formulations with minimal to no preservatives.”

Annnnd, unfortunately they don’t ship internationally (thankfully I’m in California) but maybe sometime in the future?

Guys, I had to seriously limit my wishlist to these few products but you should know I desperately want 80% more of their stuff.

Awesome! I love the name ‘Milk Makeup’.

    • Thank you; haha and me too! It’s a little different 🙂

  • It’s so funny that they’re not actually made out of milk, but the ingredients seem very nice for your skin. Such a shame they don’t ship internationally.

Indie Suns | Bloglovin’ | Instagram

    • I know! When I first saw this I was sooo confused; I was really curious to see products made with milk but either way it was a good find! Even though I’m not international, I wish they did but hopefully they’ll be able to soon!

  • Sounds really interesting, indeed! i love the concept of enhaing beauty instead of changing it to create something different. The products sound amazing, and most importantly, not harmful to our skin. I always celebrate a brand that cares about the composition of their products. Thank you for introducing us to Milk Makeup, dear!!

    • Thanks Deborah, I’m glad you enjoyed this! And yes, I love the their choice of ingredients. Lately I’ve been realizing the importance for more natural products so I like seeing brands out there similar to this. Thank you for reading!

    • To be honest, I was quite surprised that they narrowed their audience so far, but I guess why wouldn’t you haha. Yes, the face gloss is definitely one of the more interesting products! It’s like creating a dewy face but without all the work lol. Thanks for commenting, Gabrielle 🙂

  • This is the first I read about this brand and I do love the idea behind it. The packaging is a touch too young for me though but at my age, A LOT of things are starting to feel too young for me.

    Shireen | Reflection of Sanity

    • Glad you liked it Shireen! I can see how the packaging could be slightly off-putting, but I’m glad you love the idea behind it! As awesome as packaging can be, it doesn’t substitute for the ethics behind the brand.

  • Kay (shoesandglitter)

I’ve never heard of this brand before! It’s a shame that they don’t ship internationally, because I’d love to check them out. 🙂 You are my go-to expert when it comes to skincare, so whenever you recommend something, I always know that it will definitely be worth a try! x x I like the idea behind the brand, the ingredients seem fab and I love the modern packaging! Thanks for sharing. x x x

    • Yes, this brand is relatively new to me as well, but I’m so glad I found it! Hopefully they’ll be able to ship internationally soon; I just realized how many people that read my blog are NOT in the U.S. haha. Aw, thanks Kay I’m flattered you think me an expert! You’re definitely my go-to for perfume too 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by as always Kay!

  • Shame they don’t ship internationally as they sound like a great brand! 🙂

    Away From The Blue Blog

    • I’ve actually been introduced to it fairly recently myself! I do love the concept though, and I agree, the packaging is cute! Thanks for reading Whitney 🙂

  • Ahhh, I wish I had access to this brand, it sounds great!

    • Doesn’t it? Yeah, the shipping is a problem since I just realized most of my readers aren’t in the U.S. but maybe sometime in the future they’ll have it! Thanks for your comment, Carol 🙂

  • This looks so cool! I wanna try it out, because the packaging is irresistible.

    • The packaging is pretty cool! Took me a while to like it (which is weird because it’s so simple) but ultimately I like it. And some of their products are really interesting! I hope you do try it out and it works for you 🙂
